Former Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, accused the Obama Administration’s plan for healthcare reform of setting the stage for the establishment of healthcare “Death Panels.” Certainly, Ms. Palin’s statement is pretty inflammatory, but her logic is pretty reasonable, if you one accepts the premises.

Considerations on Universal Health Care

U.S. President, Barak Obama, has been pushing for health care reform. America’s health care system has a number of problems. First, American’s spend approximately twice as much as on health care costs than other Western countries. In fact, a leading cause of bankruptcy in America is debt caused by a catastrophic health incident.  Second, some reports contend that over 40 million residents lack health insurance and the number who are “under-insured” grows the number even more.  Read more »

Obama’s Win Not Historic Enough

Now that Obama has won the Democratic nomination, the media is falling all over itself to give homage. Yes, it is a truly historic event, after all he is the first African-American nominated by a major party for president of the United States. Unfortunately, the nomination isn’t historic enough.
